Anglo-Saxon Boast Assignment

Challenge Description:
My challenge is when I play soccer. I play my game, when I play my game I win not matter what. I am the goal- saver, I snag a shot upper 90. I will win every game.

Challenge:

I am the goal-saver, I stop whatever you put in front of me. You take a shot I'll stop you, you’re on a break-away I'll stop you no matter what I'll stop you. I'm like a magnet whatever you do I'll get the ball. I’m a beast you let me out of my cage you can’t stop me, I run up and down that field to make a save.

I’m the best no matter what I can’t be stopped, I sacrifice myself to make a save. I go up for a ball offering you my knee for compensation, for some reason you don’t want it. I’m the best you’ve ever seen.

I’m the goal-scorer, I take shots all day, and I’ll pull a Joey D every game. I dribble through you like a bunch of tackling dummies. Your goalie tries to stop me, but I told you I’m the best I can’t be stopped. Like Pele Jr. I the best you’ve seen so be ready cause there’s a storm coming and it ain’t gonna be pretty.

After Revisions Journal Entry

Question:
Take a few minutes to consider the culture of the time and country in which we live.  What are the core values that define our culture and way of life?  If someone chose to study our history and stories in a thousand years, what ideas would stand out to them?  In your blog entry, name and describe the values that are most important to the people of the United States in 2011.
Answer:
The core values and standards that all human beings have are Truth, Religious Views, and Family Standards. It is frowned upon in today society if someone tells a lie or is not truthful with their words. Almost everyone in the world has a different religious view than another person or group (i.e. Muslims and Christians). Family standards are at a high praise in today's society,  children are expected to respect their mother and father, and the parents are supposed to provide for their children.
Depending on how society looks in a thousand years, that person could have a few different views and thoughts. If today's standards change in a thousand year that person could be amazed at how our social structure was. That person could also say WOW that time period was really messed up. But if society doesn't change, most likely that person will have nothing to criticize our society about.

The values that are most important to Americans today are Money, School, and a Home.  Almost all Americans would do anything for money, people feel that the meaning of life is make as much money as possible. Most, if not all Americans find it important to do well in school, if you don't do well in school then you can't get a good job. Finally, all anyone wants is a big and fancy house to show off to thier friends, and enjoy all of their material possessions rather than spiritual ones.
